There is a mismatch between the level of data that TRAC can filter via the built-in charts (Locations, Entities) and how much of that data can be saved to a user-created filter or chart. For example, in a Fashion search, Louis Vuitton may appear in the Entities chart, and the user can click through to filter results by that Entity. But if the user is creating a filter for a dashboard chart, there is only a shortlist of a few top Entities in the search to choose from—if Louis Vuitton is lower in volume and doesn't appear in that list, there's no way to add it to a filter. The same is true for Locations (city, country).
Ideally the full lists of Entities and Locations found in the search would be selectable when creating filters. At the very least, it should be similar to the Image AI keywords, where the user can type in anything, even if it doesn't appear in the dropdown list, and the filter would work.
We can look into this after the completion of migration to Open Search.
Filtering by Topics would also be useful
