This is mainly a speed issue as excel can create the term combinations quicker with less mistakes that manual input. It will also lead to a greater methodological approach that can be challenged.
Thanks for the feedback. We have a big piece work planned this year to review the entire search set up process on Pulsar TRAC, and we'll consider this function as part of the new development. In the meantime if you have some examples of the type of excel worksheets you use to structure your search strategy that would be useful.
