Facebook Public Data and URL Shares with Buzzsumo

I know that Facebook has cut off the API you were using previously to get the anonymous data, but I was thinking about the public posts and tracking those.  In particular, there is another platform called buzzsumo (, which somehow gets at this data and tracks it for brands.  It offers a 14-day free trial, and the information it provides is pretty terrific.  I am not sure how it works or where they get their data from, but I would recommend you guys take a look.

What I find particularly helpful about buzzsumo, in large part because it is free, is their chrome browser extension, which shows you shares on Facebook and Twitter (and Pinterest + LinkedIn). Again, I am not sure about how they get at this data -- I don't think any one else offers Twitter shares for example -- but it is great.  Here is a link to that extension:

    Hi Kiriakos,

Thanks for getting in touch. We know of Buzzsumo! And it seems they have an API so worth exploring. We'll take a look with the product team and see if this is something we can incorporate on Pulsar.

    Thanks for the feedback.
