I know that Facebook has cut off the API you were using previously to get the anonymous data, but I was thinking about the public posts and tracking those. In particular, there is another platform called buzzsumo (http://buzzsumo.com/), which somehow gets at this data and tracks it for brands. It offers a 14-day free trial, and the information it provides is pretty terrific. I am not sure how it works or where they get their data from, but I would recommend you guys take a look.
What I find particularly helpful about buzzsumo, in large part because it is free, is their chrome browser extension, which shows you shares on Facebook and Twitter (and Pinterest + LinkedIn). Again, I am not sure about how they get at this data -- I don't think any one else offers Twitter shares for example -- but it is great. Here is a link to that extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/buzzsumo/gedpbnanjmblcmlfhgfficjnglidndfo
Hi Kiriakos,
Thanks for getting in touch. We know of Buzzsumo! And it seems they have an API so worth exploring. We'll take a look with the product team and see if this is something we can incorporate on Pulsar.
Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers
Linda
