A client, ClinicalMind, noted it would be useful for them if the Trac API offered "subtype" as a filterable field, such that they could opt to retrieve only original tweets in an API request, when retweets and quote tweets are also present in the search. Currently, subtype is included in the API output, but is not filterable there.
